Fourth quarter push secures Wolverine win at Lourdes

SYLVANIA, Ohio – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team rallied from an early deficit to escape with a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference win over Lourdes University Saturday in Sylvania, Ohio.

The Gray Wolves led by 13 midway through the second quarter, but the No. 22 Wolverines went on a 16-3 run to tie the score at 31-31 at the break. UM-Dearborn took control in the fourth, outscoring Lourdes 18-5 to earn the 61-49 victory.

The win pushes UM-Dearborn to 11-2 overall and 6-1 in the WHAC.

Sade Lemons led the Wolverine comeback, scoring a team-high 18 points, including four 3-pointers. Jeorgia Jones finished with a double-double, recording 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Cydney Williams pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds. Ro'Zhane added six points, six assists and five rebounds.

The Wolverines shot 22-of-61 from the field, 8-of-29 from deep and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line.

Lourdes was led by 13 points each from Jami Hardy and LaTyrah Beasley.

UM-Dearborn travels to Ohio Christian University for a nonconference contest at 1 pm Saturday in Circleville, Ohio.
