Wolverines Drop High-Scoring Affair Against UNOH

DEARBORN, Mich. -- In a high-scoring affair at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse, the University of Michigan-Dearborn fell short against the University of Northwestern Ohio, losing 95-83. The game was competitive throughout, but UNOH's efficient scoring and free-throw shooting in the second half ultimately gave them the edge.

The first half saw both teams trading baskets, with Michigan-Dearborn holding a slim 45-43 lead at the break. Joshua Warren led the Wolverines in the first half with 19 points, while Jackson Reynolds added nine.

However, the second half was dominated by Northwestern Ohio, who outscored Michigan-Dearborn 52-38. Archey had a standout performance, finishing with 27 points and 16-18 shooting from the free-throw line, while Antonio King added 20 points. Michigan-Dearborn struggled to keep pace despite strong efforts from Warren, who finished with a team-high 30 points, and Reynolds, who contributed 22 points.

Northwestern Ohio's success at the free-throw line, where they went 36-47 (76.6%), played a pivotal role in their victory, especially as Michigan-Dearborn shot just 63.6% from the line. Despite shooting 44.6% from the field and hitting 11 three-pointers, the Wolverines were unable to stop the balanced attack of Northwestern Ohio.

Other notable contributors for Michigan-Dearborn included Thomas Dillard IV, who had 16 points, and Lozell Kearney, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. Northwestern Ohio's depth was key in their victory, with bench players like Alex Benson (13 points) and Caleb Chapman (six points) helping extend the lead in the second half.
