WINONA LAKE, Ind. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team struggled on Tuesday (Nov. 12) as they traveled to face No. 8 Grace University. The Lancers controlled the contest wire-to-wire in a 117-57 victory.
Joshua Warren highlighted an otherwise lackluster day for the Wolverines, scoring 18 points on 7-of-17 shooting. Warren grabbed three rebounds, had a pair of assists, and steals in 37 minutes of work. Myron Brewer was the only other Wolverine in double figures as he poured in 12 points on 5-of-12 from the field and 2-of-7 from behind the arc.
The Lancers controlled the glass as they outrebounded the Wolverines 58-27, including 14 offensive rebounds that led to 20 second-chance points. The Lancers had an astonishing 31 assists compared to just nine from the Wolverines.
The Wolverines' inconsistency from the floor was their Achilles heel in the contest, as UM-Dearborn shot just 31.3% and 23.8% from three. The Wolverines will regroup and be back in action on Friday (Nov. 15) against Mount Vernon Nazarene.
