GARY, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team had little time to recover after an opening night loss on Friday (Nov 4). The Wolverines took on Trinity Christian in a matinee contest on Saturday (Nov. 2). The Wolverines were upended in the final game of their road trip, losing 83-77.
Four Wolverines finished in double figures, as Joshua Warren finished with 21 points on 9-of-17 from the floor. Warren hauled in 11 boards to finish with a double-double. Jackson Reynolds played all 40 minutes and poured in 16 points, with three of his six field goals coming from behind the arc. Despite being in foul trouble, Elvis Machul Jr finished with 18 points and five rebounds. Thomas Dillard IV rounded out the scoring with 10 points and eight boards.
The Wolverines outperformed the Trolls in numerous statistical categories; however, the six-point difference is in the 10 made triples compared to eight for the Wolverines.
UM-Dearborn will play Kuyper College at home on Saturday (Nov 9). Tip-off is set for 3 PM.
