Free Throws Key to Wolverine Win

DEARBORN, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action against the Concordia University Cardinals in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup. 

The Wolverines and Cardinals traded punches in the first half as both teams shot over 50 percent from the field and over 40 percent from behind the arch with the edge going to UM-Dearborn, finding itself up two points at the half. The Wolverine shooters cooled down in the second half, but did most of their damage from the free-throw line, going 18-21, on their way to an 88-83 victory.

Leading the way for the Wolverines was Joshua Warren with a game-high 30 points, while Collin Miller had a big night of his own, finishing with 22 points. Jackson Reynolds would chip in with 16, while adding seven rebounds and eight assists. Thomas Dillard IV was just shy of a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds. 

Four Concordia players would hit double-figures, led by Colby Chapman with 24 points. 

UM-Dearborn returns to action against Siena Heights University at 1pm Saturday afternoon in Adrian, Mich.
