DEARBORN, Mich. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action Saturday afternoon, traveling west to take on the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup.
The Wolverines would see Cornerstone go on a 12-0 early in the first half to create some distance between the two clubs at the half. The UM-Dearborn offense shot well from the floor, hitting 50 percent for the game. The Golden Eagles simply just could not miss as they shot 60 percent from the field and 50 percent from the arch, pulling away for a 111-72 win over the Wolverines.
UM-Dearborn had five players in double-digits, led by Zachary Cody with 14 points. Myron Brewer and Joshua Warren would both add 12 points, while Joel Laird and Collin Miller would add 11 and 10, respectively.
The Golden Eagles also spread the scoring around, with six players in double-digits as Luke Rowlinson led the way with a game-high 24 points.
UM-Dearborn returns to action against Concordia University at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, January 29th at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
