Warren Nets 34 in Loss to Lourdes

DEARBORN, Mich. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action Wednesday night, taking on the Lourdes University Gray Wolves in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup

The Gray Wolves would rely on a 17-0 that stretched nearly eight minutes of the first half to build up a big lead at the half. However, the Wolverine offense would respond in the second half shooting over 50 percent from the field and behind the arch. Despite UM-Dearborn outscoring Lourdes in the second half, the lead built by the Gray Wolves was enough to hand the Wolverines an 88-71 defeat.

Leading the way for the Wolverines was Joshua Warren with a game-high 34 points (21 in the second half) while adding seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

Lourdes had four players in double figures, led by Shaunn Monroe with a team-high 25 points.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against Cornerstone University at 3 pm on Saturday at Mol Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich.
