ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team was unable to keep pace with Rochester Christian University in a high-scoring affair, losing 104-81. Despite some strong individual performances, the Wolverines struggled defensively and couldn't overcome the Warriors' hot shooting, particularly from three-point range.
The Warriors shot 54.2% from behind the arc, making 13 threes out of 24 chances. All five of RCU's starters finished in double figures as they finished shooting 62.5% from the field. Joshua Warren led the Wolverines, scoring 14 points in 31 minutes. Warren added seven assists and three steals to his final line. Abdulrahman Helwa and Collin Miller each finished in double digits, scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively. In total, 11 Wolverines scored in the contest.
The Wolverines will hit the hardwood again on Saturday (Jan. 11) as they take on Grace Christian at 5:30 pm.
