DEARBORN, Mich. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team wrapped up their regular season on Saturday (Feb. 15). A pair of victories helped the Wolverines secure the No. 2 seed in the upcoming WHAC Tournament, and the victories were highlighted by Bailey Byrd tallying eight points on four goals and four assists, earning him WHAC Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday (Feb. 17). The award marks the second time this season that Byrd has won the award and the third in his career. 

The reigning WHAC Player of the Year ended his regular season with 21 goals and 27 assists, giving him 47 points on the year, which was good for second in the conference. Byrd made a goal contribution on eight of the Wolverines' 19 goals this weekend.
