DEARBORN, Mich. -- The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference named University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey's Joey Cibor as WHAC Offensive Player of the Week. The league announced on Monday (Jan. 13th). Cibor capped off a 2-0 week for the Wolverines with a seven point performance tallying four goals and three assists.
This marks the first time that Cibor was named player of the week during his short tenure in the Maize & Blue. Cibor scored twice on Friday (Jan. 10) including the game-winning powerplay goal in a 7-4 victory over Concordia (MI). In the finale on Saturday, Cibor added two more goals and an assist tallying a point on seven of the Wolverines 17 goals over two games.
Cibor and the Wolverines will be back in action on Friday (Jan. 17) as they take on the Aquinas College Saints in a home-and-home series this coming weekend.
