DEARBORN, Mich. -- In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, the UM-Dearborn men's ice hockey team bested the Aquinas Saints in their latest league hockey game on October 26, 2024, at The Fieldhouse, finishing with a commanding final score of 5-1. The victory was accentuated by a notable hat trick from Caleb Cathcart.

Starting strong, the Wolverines captured an early lead with goals from Blake Petterle and Connor Hasse in the first period, closing it at 2-1. The sole goal for the Saints came from Cooper Nienhuis, assisted by Brody Traxler. Michigan-Dearborn extended their lead in the second period with another goal by Cathcart, making the scoreline 3-1. Dominance was further established in the final period as Cathcart added two more goals, ensuring a comfortable win for the Wolverines.

Connor Hasse, pivotal in the night's success, not only scored the first and ultimately game-winning goal but also contributed with an assist. The attacking efforts were complemented by Justin Renzi, Brenden Paden, Bailey Byrd, and Carter Allen, each setting up key plays that led to goals.
