FORT WAYNE, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's ice hockey team jumped out to an early lead against the Indiana Tech Warriors on Saturday (Oct. 12). Justin Renzi scored the early goal for the Wolverines but were overwhelmed by the Warriors in the final two periods to lose 1-6 on the road.
Renzi surprised the Warrior netminder with 2:51 to play in the first, firing one over his left shoulder to give the Wolverines the lead. Blake Petterle & Caleb Cathcart assisted on the goal.
Drew Adams saved 30 shots in the contest, but the Warriors scored six times the rest of the way.
The Wolverines take on Concordia (MI) on Friday (Oct. 18) at 9:30 pm.
