Sweeney Named Michigan-Dearborn Women's Basketball Coach

The University of Michigan-Dearborn has announced that Jordan Sweeney is new Head Women's Basketball Coach and Intramural Sports Coordinator. Sweeney was named the interim head coach on January 13th for the final 12 games of the season. During that time, the women's basketball team defeated Marygrove and Aquinas. Sweeney was also the head coach of the men's junior varsity team this past season and an assistant coach for men's varsity team.

Prior to his arrival in Dearborn, Sweeney spent two seasons as the assistant coach for the men's basketball team at Ferris State University. He played college basketball at Alpena Community College and then went to Central Michigan University and was a manager for the men's basketball team while completing his Bachelor of Science in Education. He officially began his assignment on May 17th.
