Women's Basketball Drops One to Goshen

Goshen, IN - The women's basketball team traveled to Goshen, Indiana on Tuesday to take on the Goshen College Maple Leafs. After a first quarter, which saw Goshen out rebound the Wolverines 18-5 and have a 10 points lead, the Maple Leafs shot great from the field in the first half to take a 49-19 lead into halftime. The Maple Leafs played a smothering defense all game and created 25 turnovers and held Michigan-Dearborn to 23% shooting for the game. The Maple Leafs would win 93-42 and shoot 48% for the game.

Freshman Natalie Spala led the Wolverines with 12 points while fellow freshman Jenna Rogers added 9 points. The women's basketball team will next play the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies Friday, November 13th at Oakland University. Tipoff is 11:00am.
