Indiana Tech's Fast Start Too Much for Women's Basketball

Dearborn, MI - The women's basketball team took to the floor Saturday against the visiting Indiana Tech Warriors. The Warriors started strong and continued to keep the pressure on throughout the game in winning 83-49. Indiana Tech (12-8, 8-4) started the game on a 17-4 run and kept scoring as the Warriors would lead by 26 points at halftime. Michigan-Dearborn (0-19, 0-12) shot the ball well in the first half (43%) but Indiana Tech shot 56% including going 7 for 13 from behind the three-point line.

Both teams cooled off in the second half, but Indiana Tech still made 6 three-pointers as they made 13 three-pointers in the game. The Wolverines made 3 three-pointers but attempted 18 of them. Sophomore Megan Swick led Michigan-Dearborn with 14 points and 5 rebounds while fellow sophomore Marisa Sauve scored 11 points. The women's basketball team will next host the University of Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday at 5:30pm.
