Women's Basketball Loses to Alma

Alma, MI - The women's basketball team traveled to Alma Sunday to take on the Alma Scots. Alma jumped out to an early 10-2 lead and continued to stifle the Wolverines offensively in winning 72-49. Shooting woes plagued Michigan-Dearborn as the team shot 27% for the game and committed 35 turnovers. Alma turned those 35 turnovers into 35 points and also had a huge advantage in the paint outscoring the Wolverines 34-14 in the paint.

Sophomore Megan Swick led Michigan-Dearborn with 10 points and 7 rebounds while fellow sophomore Marisa Sauve added 9 points and 6 rebounds. The women's basketball team opens up WHAC play Monday at 5:30 at home against the Marygrove College Mustangs.
