Women's Basketball Loses to Davenport

Dearborn, MI - The women's basketball hosted the 2nd ranked Davenport University Panthers Wednesday night. After the Wolverines scored the opening basket of the game, the Panthers responded scoring the next 25 points and had a 25-4 lead after the first quarter. Davenport (4-2, 3-0) shot over 50% for the game and created 29 turnovers. Michigan-Dearborn (0-5, 0-2) struggled from the field shooting 26% for the game and made only one three-pointer in the game.

The Panthers continued to put the pressure on the Wolverines scoring at least 24 points in each quarter including 33 points in the fourth quarter in winning 108-38. Michigan-Dearborn was led by freshman Emily Heinrich who had 10 points and 6 rebounds. The women's basketball team will next travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana to take on the Indiana Tech Warriors on Saturday. Tipoff is at 1:00pm.
