Davenport Downs Women's Basketball

Grand Rapids, MI - The women's basketball team took on the 10th ranked Davenport University Panthers on Wednesday in Grand Rapids. Davenport (19-5, 15-2) shot the ball extremely well and took control of the game early in winning 96-44. The Panthers shot 53% from the field for the game and scored over 20 points in each quarter. Michigan-Dearborn (1-23, 1-16) shot 32% for the game but also committed 27 turnovers in the game. Davenport also had a huge advantage in the paint as they outrebounded the Wolverines 50-22 and outscored the Wolverines 50-10 in the paint.

Freshman Kendall Rose led Michigan-Dearborn with 11 points and 6 rebounds and sophomore Megan Swick had 10 points and 4 rebounds. The women's basketball team will next host Siena Heights University on Saturday at 1:00pm.
