ADRIAN, Mich. - The No. 8 University of Michigan Dearborn women's hockey team looked to bounce back from losing the night before against the No. 4 Adrian College Bulldogs. The Wolverines made a late push but ultimately came up short, losing 4-2.
The Wolverines battled hard in the first, keeping the game scoreless and showing the Bulldogs that they were out for redemption after the night before. However, the second period proved costly as Adrian scored four unanswered goals, including three in 40 seconds.
The Wolverines were not going down without a fight and came out hot in the third period, scoring a goal in the first three minutes and giving them the spark they needed. The captain, Cadence Pero, scored the goal, with assists by Amy Palaian and Ella Dumas. This would boost the morale of the Wolverines, and later in the third period, the Wolverines would score again on a power play goal from Grace Adriaanse. Charlise Wharram and Maddison Mclndoo added assists. However, the rush started too late for the Wolverines, and those would be the only goals they scored.
The Wolverines are back in action Saturday (Nov. 16) in their home-and-home series against the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor.
