DOGHMAN NAMED NAIA SCHOLAR ATHLETE FOR SECOND TIME

DEARBORN, Mich. – Despite being unable to step on the court for the Wolverines over the last two seasons, senior men's basketball student-athlete Hassan Doghman (JR/Dearborn, MI) has continued to make an impact for the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Earlier this week, Doghman was named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete for a second straight season, it was announced by the NAIA on Monday.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Doghman served as the NAIA Association of Student-Athletes Chair during the 2017-18 academic year, an office he was appointed to at the NAIA Convention in April 2017. He is currently enrolled in graduate school at UM-Dearborn.
