BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's lacrosse team gave No. 3 Indiana Tech all it could handle in the 2018 season finale on Senior Night at the Detroit Country Day Fieldhouse in Beverly Hills, Mich.

Down 9-3 midway through the second quarter and 11-5 at the half, the Wolverines rallied with an impressive third quarter, outscoring the Warriors 4-0 in the frame, including three goals from Devon Callaghan (JR/Bloomfield Hills, Mich.).

UM-Dearborn closed the gap to one goal on three occasions in the fourth, but was unable to find the equalizer as Indiana Tech held on for a 13-12 win. The loss ends the Wolverine's season with a record of 6-8 overall and 3-4 in the WHAC.

In a ceremony prior to the start of the game, four UM-Dearborn student-athletes were honored on Senior Night. Matthew Rosteck (SR/Commerce Township, Mich.), Mitchell Stapleton (SR/Detroit, Mich.), Matthew Daratony (SR/Hartland, Mich.) and Hannibal Roda (SR/Harrison Township, Mich.) each played their final game for the Wolverines.

The teams each scored two goals in the first quarter, including tallies from Callaghan and Adam Ranck (FR/West Bloomfield, Mich.) for UM-Dearborn. The Warriors took control in the second, with nine goals in the period.

The Wolverines started the second half strong, scoring all four goals in the third quarter and adding the opening tally of the fourth to trim the Warrior lead to 11-10. After Indiana Tech scored with just over eight minutes to play, UM-Dearborn face-off specialist Chad Reynolds (FR/South Elgin, Ill.) scored on a feed from Callaghan.

The Warriors regained a two-goal lead with 1:53 left, but Rosteck answered right back with his final goal as a Wolverine. Indiana Tech was able to gain possession the rest of the way to hold on for the win.

Callaghan recorded six goals and an assist to bring his season totals to 47 goals and nine assists. Ranck finished with three goals to end his first season with the Wolverines with 19. Daratony recorded a game-high seven ground balls for UM-Dearborn.
