ATHENS, Tenn. -- The University of Michigan-Dearborn lacrosse team squared off against No. 1 Keiser University on Sunday (Mar. 2). The game marked the first of the Wolverines back-to-back games during their spring trip down in Tennessee. The result of the contest finished in Keiser's favor as they led wire-to-wire in an 18-5 victory.

Keiser, who improved to 4-0 on the season, opened the game with a strong offensive display. They scored four unanswered goals in the first quarter, with Shane Cassidy, AJ Badik, and Ryan Rundle contributing to the lead. UM-Dearborn got on the board in the first with Garrett Kern's unassisted goal, but Keiser's JP Prather answered shortly thereafter, making it 5-1 at the end of the first.

In the second quarter, Keiser continued to dominate, adding three more goals to extend their lead. Prather scored two more goals, including one unassisted, and Badik added another. By halftime, the Wolverines were trailing 8-1.

In the third quarter, Keiser maintained its offensive pressure. Prather continued his dominant performance, scoring twice, while Ryan Stowell and Vincent Cerasuolo also scored. Michigan-Dearborn struggled to find the back of the net, only managing a goal from Shane Marion, bringing the score to 13-2.

Despite the large deficit, Michigan-Dearborn showed some fight in the fourth quarter. Reece Rath and Aidan Meyers each scored unassisted goals, and Cole Rosenwald added another for the Wolverines. However, it wasn't nearly enough to overcome Keiser's explosive offense. Keiser responded with additional goals from Tim Manly and Stowell to seal the win, 18-5.
