Wolverines fall at No. 8 Cumberlands

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's lacrosse team concluded its weekend trip to Kentucky against No. 8 University of the Cumberlands on Sunday in Williamsburg, Ky.

The Patriots scored the first five goals of the game and pulled away for the win. UM-Dearborn was unable to recover from the early deficit and fell 11-4, dropping to 2-1 on the season.

Devon Callaghan (JR/Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) continued his strong start to the season, scoring two goals for the Wolverines, while Nolan Landis (JR/Northville, Mich.) and Hannibal Roda (SR/Harrison Township, Mich.) each added a goal. Callaghan leads the Wolverines with 11 goals through three games.

Jon Chaffee (SO/Hartland, Mich.) made a season-high 17 saves for UM-Dearborn as he falls to 2-1 in net this season.

Dylan Crouch led the Patriots with four goals on 10 shots.

The Wolverines return home for five straight starting with (RV) Benedictine College (Kan.) at 2 pm March 10 at the Detroit Country Day Fieldhouse in Beverly Hills, Mich.
