UM-Dearborn rolls to win at Miami-Ohio

OXFORD, Ohio – The University of Michigan-Dearborn women's ice hockey team went on the road to take on Miami University-Ohio (ACHA D2) in an afternoon contest on Friday in Oxford, Ohio.

The Wolverines scored seven times in the second to cruise to a 15-0 win over the RedHawks. The victory moves UM-Dearborn to 16-2-0 overall in the program's first season.

Lexi Garbacik led the UM-Dearborn offense with a career-high four goals, earning her first hat trick as a Wolverine. Claudia Maguire continued her outstanding season with three goals and a team-high five assists, while Odisoula Argyris finished with two goals and four assists.

Clare Murphy finished with two goals and an assist, while Piper Keranen, Brooke Spiegel, Isabella Welke, and Kaylee Keledjian each scored once. Elizabeth Schaffran added four assists from the blue line.

Victoria Hahn got the start in net and made nine saves in the win for UM-Dearborn.

The Wolverines return home for the final three games of the regular season starting against Concordia University at 2 pm, Saturday, Feb. 8 at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.
