Anderson Impresses, Wolverines Fall 97-84

LIMA, Ohio – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (4-21, 1-16) men's basketball struggled from the three-point line at The Garage on Saturday (Feb. 4). Maurice Anderson led the charge for the Wolverines recording a double-double in the 97-84 loss against the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers (9-15, 5-11). 

 

UM-Dearborn Leaders

Anderson scored a game-high 31 points shooting 11-20 from the floor. Anderson hauled in 10 rebounds and added four steals to finish an impressive day. Senior guard Elwood Tomlinson scored 23 points in 34 minutes to help the Wolverines. Jimmy Breaux rounded out the Wolverines in double figures with 12 points. 

 

UNOH Leaders

The Racers had four players in double digits, with Trevon Wells and Hunter Bode leading the way with 19 points. Biggz Johnson and Cedric Delancy Jr. scored 18 and 15 points, respectively. UNOH shot 51.9% from behind the arc connecting 14 triples on the afternoon. 

 

Inside the Game

Dearborn shot 47.8% from the field in the contest but shot a measly 28.6% from behind the arc. Dearborn outrebounded UNOH 32-31. Dearborn trailed 46-40 heading into the half but could not close the deficit resulting in a 97-84 loss on the road.
