Tomlinson Scores 17 Second-Half Points, Wolverines Sweep Penn State Schuylkill

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (3-13) men's basketball team wrapped up a mini-series with Penn State Schuylkill on Tuesday (Dec. 20) at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. Elwood Tomlinson exploded, scoring all of his 17 points in the second half. Dearborn took down Schuylkill 62-56.

 

UM-Dearborn Leaders 

After starting 0-6 from the field Tomlinson shot 5-10 from the field and 4-of-6 from behind the arc to give the Wolverines a much needed boost in the second half. Jimmy Breaux had a monster game scoring 10 points and ripping down 17 rebounds to record a double-double. Vyshonn Munson shot 50% from behind the arc and was a perfect 4-4 from the charity stripe to finish with 10 points and eight rebounds. Troy Campbell had a solid day shooting 4-8 from the field and 2-3 from behind the arc to finish in double figures with 10 points. Dearborn held Schuylkill to 29% shooting in the second half to take control of the contest. Dearborn took advantage of their offensive rebounds outscoring Schuylkill 15-10 on 2nd chance points. 

 

Penn State Schuylkill Leaders

Antwuan Byrd led Schuylkill with 18 points on 7-of-17 shooting. Dashawn Dixon hauled in an impressive 15 rebounds five of which came on the offensive glass. Schuylkill outrebounded the Wolverines 47-44. Bryce Hensley chipped in nine points to round out the scoring for Schuylkill.
