HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (0-4) men's basketball team fell victim to second-half shooting woes en route to a 77-71 loss against Trinity International (2-0) on Friday (Nov. 4) inside Platt Arena 

UM-Dearborn Leaders

The Wolverines used a balanced attack, as they did not have a player score in double digits. However, nine players scored five points or more, with Yassin Mohamed and Thomas Dillard IV leading the way with nine points a piece. Jimmy Breaux led the Wolverines on the glass as he recorded 10 rebounds, six on the offensive glass. Ryan Len dished out five assists to lead Dearborn. 

Trinity International Leaders

Jack Kalhoun had a game-high 15 points shooting 6-of-13 from the field. Xavier Cooper finished three assists shy of a triple-double as he recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds, and seven assists. Monte Lambert chipped in 14 points coming off the bench. 

Inside the Game

The Wolverines held TIU to just 38.9% shooting in the first half as they would erase an early 8-1 deficit to take a 46-38 lead heading into the locker rooms. However, TIU made critical adjustments during the break as they could not get any shots to fall in the second half. Dearborn shot 32.4% from the floor and just 28.6% from behind the arc to find themselves down 70-69 with 4:24 remaining. 

TIU would go on a 7-2 run over the game's final four minutes to take a 77-71 victory over the Wolverines.
