Wolverines close out season with win over Cardinals

ANN ARBOR, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action against the Concordia University Cardinals in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Wolverines would jump out in front of the Cardinals, taking an eight-point lead into the half. The UM-Dearborn offense would stay hot in the second half by shooting 50 percent from the field, while limiting Concordia University to 35 percent shooting, outscoring the Cardinals by 10 points on its way to a 78-60 win to close out the season.

Leading UM-Dearborn was Elwood Tomlinson with a game-high 22 points, Jason Gigliotti with 18 points and 17 rebounds for a double-double, and Maurice Anderson with 10 points and five rebounds.

The win moves the Wolverines to 5-25 overall and 3-17 in the WHAC to conclude the season.
