Strong shooting lifts Indiana Tech past the Wolverines on Senior Day

DEARBORN, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action against the Indiana Tech Warriors Saturday afternoon in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup on Senior Day.

The Wolverines hung tough in the first half against the Warriors, erasing a 12-point deficit to find themselves down three at the half. However, Indiana Tech would come out on fire in the second half shooting 65 percent from the field handing UM-Dearborn a 92-74 loss.

The Wolverines were led by Maurice Anderson, tied for the game-high with 17 points and added 12 rebounds for a double-double. Cameron Johnson would chip in with 16 points and six rebounds, while Jimmy Breaux would add 11 points of his own.

The Warriors were led by the combo of Grant Smith and Cory McKinney, both with 17 points, while Jeremy Luciani would add 16 for Indiana Tech.

The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 3-16 overall and 1-12 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines return to action with an exhibition contest against the Oakland University Golden Grizzlies at the Athletics Center O'Rena in Rochester, Mich.
