DEARBORN, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to WHAC action with two conference matchups Wednesday night against the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles and Saturday afternoon against the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers.

The contest between the Wolverines and Golden Eagles went back and forth, with both teams shooting above 48 percent from the field in the first half, with UM-Dearborn finding themselves down four at the break. The Golden Eagles would extend their lead to as much as 10 points. However, the Wolverines hung around and took the lead with under nine minutes remaining. Cornerstone University would regroup, holding off UM-Dearborn by a score of 88-79.

The Wolverines would receive double-digit scoring from four players led by Vyshonn Munson with 15 points. Reid Sellers and Maurice Anderson would add 14 points, while Troy Campbell would record 12 points. Jason Gigliotti nearly added another double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Leading Cornerstone University was Jonny Strube, with a game-high 29 points.

On Saturday against UNOH, UM-Dearborn would come out in the second half to erase a 12-point deficit, going ahead by two five minutes in. However, the Racers would prevent the Wolverines from regaining the lead in the game and handed UM-Dearborn the 85-77 defeat.

Elwood Tomlinson had a strong performance with a team-high 22 points, while Maurice Anderson would add 16 points and eight rebounds for the Wolverines. Jimmy Breaux chipped in with nine points, while Troy Campbell and Cameron Johnson added eight points each.

Hunter Bode led the way for UNOH with a game-high 25 points while adding 14 rebounds.

The two losses drop UM-Dearborn to 3-16 overall and 1-10 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines return to action against the Rochester University Warriors at 7 pm Wednesday in Rochester Hills, Mich.
