Wolverines upset Lawrence Tech in triple overtime

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action against the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils Wednesday night in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in Southfield, Mich.

It took three overtimes to decide a winner between the Wolverines and Blue Devils Wednesday night as UM-Dearborn would close out the final overtime with an 8-1 run in the final two minutes of play on its way to a 103-99 victory over Lawrence Tech.

The win improves the Wolverines to 4-25 overall and 2-17 in the WHAC.

UM-Dearborn was led by Elwood Tomlinson with a game-high 28 points and added six rebounds. Jason Gigliotti would add 24 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double, while Maurice Anderson would finished with 19 points and nine rebounds off of the bench.

The Blue Devils were led by Brandon Beavers with 27 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against the Concordia University Cardinals at 1 PM Saturday afternoon at the Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich.
