Lourdes first-half lead too much to overcome for Wolverines

LIVONIA, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action after the holiday break, taking on the Lourdes University Gray Wolves in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in Livonia, Mich.

The Wolverine offense stalled in the first half as Lourdes University found itself up 22 points after the first half, never looking back on its way to a 76-53 victory over UM-Dearborn. 

Four Wolverines would find themselves with double-digit points in the game, with Elwood Tomlinson leading the way with 16 points. Jason Gigliotti would record a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds, while Ryan Len and Reid Sellers would add 11 points and 10 points, respectively. 

The Gray Wolves were led by Little Anderson and McRay White, finishing with 23 points and 17 points, respectively. 

The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 3-11 overall and 1-7 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines return to action against the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (Rescheduled from 1/5) at 7:30 pm on Monday, January 10th at the Don Ridler Fieldhouse in Southfield, Mich.
