Saints pull away late to hand Wolverines a 16-point defeat

ADRIAN, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team returned to action against the Siena Heights University Saints Saturday afternoon in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup in Adrian, Mich.

The Wolverines would play the Saints tough in the first half, leading by as many as seven. However, the Saints would use a 10-3 run to go up six after the first 20 minutes of play. UM-Dearborn would get back within two with 14 minutes to play, but Siena Heights would use a 10-0 in order to pull away from the Wolverines, handing them the 88-72 defeat.

The loss drops UM-Dearborn 3-21 overall and 1-13 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines had five player reach double-digits in points, led by the pair of Maurice Anderson and Jimmy Breaux, both with 14 points. Cameron Johnson and Vyshonn Munson would each add 12, while Reid Sellers would chip in with 10 points for UM-Dearborn.

Leading the Saints was Curtis Bell III with 20 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against the Cornerstone University Golden Eagles at 7:30 PM Wednesday in Grand Rapids, Mich.
