Wolverine men top Cardinals 76-68

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team kept pace in its pursuit of a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference postseason bid with a win over Concordia University Saturday in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Zach Lattimer took control in the second half for the Wolverines finishing with a career-high in points to lead UM-Dearborn to a 76-68 win over the Cardinals. The victory pushes the Wolverines to 8-14 overall and 6-7 in the WHAC.

With seven games remaining in the WHAC regular season, UM-Dearborn is tied for fifth in the league standings with Lawrence Tech and Lourdes University.

Lattimer scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers for the Wolverines. Jason Gigliotti added 12 points and six rebounds. Cody Kegley recorded 12 points, including three 3-pointers, while Mafiaion Joyner and Xavier Crofford finished with 11 and 10 points respectively.

The Wolverines shot 28-of-57 from the field, 11-of-26 from deep and 9-of-13 from the line.

Dakota Bostic led the Cardinals with 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting.

UM-Dearborn returns home to host Siena Heights University at 7:30 pm Wednesday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
