MARION, Ind. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half to set up an overtime win over Goshen College on day one of the Caleb Dimmich Memorial Classic hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University Friday in Marion, Ind.

The Wolverines trailed by 11 with under eight minutes to play in the second half, but a 12-1 run by UM-Dearborn tied the game at 76-76 with 6:14 to go. After Goshen took a two-point lead with 1:38 to play, the Wolverines got one last shot to tie the game in the final seconds. Junior Cody Kegley was fouled and went to the line, hitting two free throws with one second remaining in regulation, sending the contest to overtime.

Goshen tied the game at 93-93 with 11 seconds left in overtime, setting the stage for the Wolverines. In just his second game as a Wolverine, Zach Lattimer stepped up in crunch time with a game-winning jumper with one second remaining to give UM-Dearborn a 95-93 win.

The win is the first of the year for the Wolverines and moves the team to 1-1 overall.

Mafiaion Joyner led the Wolverine rally, scoring 26 points on 8-of-17 shooting while adding 16 rebounds for a double-double. Kegley finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, and four steals, while Lattimer added 19 points, including five 3-pointers off the bench.

The Wolverines shot 29-of-67 from the field, 9-of-21 from deep and 28-of-37 from the line, while finishing with 14 assists and 16 turnovers.

Demarkus Stuckey scored a game-high 34 points for the Maple Leafs, who shot 31-of-72 from the field, 13-of-30 from deep and 18-of-28 from the line.

The Wolverines will have little time to rest, as they take on No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan at 1 pm Saturday in Marion, Ind.
