Blue Devils stun Wolverines 66-65

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Down seven in the final two minutes, Lawrence Tech scored the final eight points of the game to stun the University of Michigan-Dearborn men's basketball team in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest Wednesday in Southfield, Mich.

Ty Searles hit a pair of 3-pointers to cut the Wolverine lead to one and made the game-winning jumper with 23 seconds to go to lift the Blue Devils to the 66-65 win, dropping UM-Dearborn to 2-9 overall and 1-3 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines were led by sophomore Jalen Paul with 15 points on 4-of-9 shooting, while junior Cody Kegley added 14 points, including three 3-pointers. Jason Gigliotti came off the bench to add 11 points and nine rebounds.

UM-Dearborn shot 23-of-59 from the field, 9-of-26 from deep and 10-of-14 from the line.

Searles led LTU with 28 points and seven rebounds. Devonte Myles added 15 points and eight rebounds.

The Wolverines return home to host Rochester College at 3 pm Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
