Volleyball Loses 3-0 Against Aquinas

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- The University of Michigan-Dearborn (14-14, 9-7) volleyball team lost an away contest against Aquinas (11-19, 7-9) 3-0 on Wednesday (Oct. 26). 

 

The Wolverines struggled to get their attack rolling, swinging just .058 as a team. Sydney Eggleton led the Wolverines in kills with eight, while Regan Sliwinski and Allie Federlein each had four blocks. Regan Rose dished out 21 assists, while Kenzie Mertz added seven digs. 

 

The Wolverines led 20-15 in the first set but could not close out the Saints as they ended on a 10-3 run to close out the Maize & Blue 25-23 in the first set. Dearborn again held the lead for much of the first set. However, the Saints tied the contest up at 16 and would not lose another point winning 25-16 in the second set. 

 

The Saints would close the sweep with a 25-13 victory in the third set. 

 

Up Next

The Wolverines take on Lourdes on Friday (Oct. 28) at Henry Ford College. The first serve is set for 7 pm.
