Wolverines Take Down Madonna 3-1 on Senior Day

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (14-13,10-6) volleyball team utilized a complete team effort in a 3-1 victory over Madonna (11-10, 8-7) on Saturday (Oct. 22). The Wolverines ended the Crusaders five-game winning streak on senior day at Cliff Keen Arena.

 

The Wolverines had three players over 10 points,  Kielee Tondryk, Sydney Eggleton, and Regan Sliwinski all hit that mark. The Wolverines had 22 blocks on the day, with Sliwinski leading the way with eight. Kenzie Mertz and Amanda Wilyard had 12 and 13 digs, respectively. While Regan Rose led the match with 36 assists. 

 

The Wolverines took advantage of eight Crusader errors in the opening set, and on the back of a .600 kill percentage from Allie Federlein, the Wolverines took the first set 25-19. However, Madonna found their stride in the second set, taking advantage of an 8-2 run to steal the second set 25-17. 

 

The Wolverines kept their composure and found their groove in the third and fourth sets, swinging .286 and .312 and making just five errors throughout the final two sets.
