Wolverines take down rival Madonna in four sets

LIVONIA, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team returned to action on the road Friday night against the Madonna University Crusaders in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match-up. 

 After dropping the a back-and-forth opening set, the Wolverines would respond by taking the next three, earning the victory 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-14 over the Crusaders.

The win moves UM-Dearborn to 8-9 overall and 4-2 in the WHAC.

Leading the Wolverines was Kielee Tondryk with a match-high 18 kills, while Sydney Eggleton would add eight of her own. Regan Rose would also record a match-high, adding 31 assists in the contest, while Kenzie Mertz record a match-high in digs with 13. 

 Kacie Stoneburner would lead Madonna University in kills (9), assists (14), and digs (9).

UM-Dearborn will return to action against Rochester University at 1pm tomorrow afternoon at Henry Ford College in Dearborn, Mich.
