ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Sydney Eggleton had a career-high 24 kills in a four-set loss to Siena Heights (15-6, 10-1) on Wednesday (Oct. 12). The University of Michigan-Dearborn (10-12, 6-5) volleyball team dropped the match 3-1 inside Cliff Keen Arena.
Eggleton led all scorers with 27.5 points which is another career-high for her. Eggleton added two aces with 11 digs for the Maize & Blue. Kielee Tondryk had another stellar performance for the Wolverines, tallying 18 kills on just 34 attacks. Regan Rose dished out 47 assists to go with 14 digs, and Kenzie Mertz was dynamite in defense with 31 total digs.
The Wolverines and the Saints played a back-and-forth first set that saw a total of 64 points be awarded. With the saints coming away with the eventual 34-32 win.
The Wolverines would take the third set after allowing the Saints to put down only nine kills.
