DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team dropped a midweek Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup to Aquinas College Wednesday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse in Dearborn, Mich.
The Saints took control late in the first and went on for a three-set victory. The set scores were 25-19, 25-11, 25-16. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 4-24 overall and 3-16 in the WHAC.
UM-Dearborn was led by Gina Giacomini with 11 kills and .364 hitting percentage, while Mackenzie Zook added six kills and four digs. Sabrina Giacomini finished with a team-high 15 assists, and Mallory Lynch added a team-high 10 digs.
Maddie Ingraham led the Saints with 12 kills, while Jackie Rozell finished with 11 kills and two total blocks.
The Wolverines close the season against Rochester University on Senior Day at 1 pm Saturday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse. Seniors Daniella Barile and Bronte Michura will be honored in a ceremony following the match.
