Saints even season series with sweep of Wolverines

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team returned to action with a midweek Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup with Siena Heights University Wednesday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.

After dropping the first set, UM-Dearborn took the first five points of set two but eventually lost in three sets 25-21, 25-22, 25-19. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 3-20 overall and 2-12 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines were led by Gina Giacomini with 14 kills, while Regan Sliwinski added seven. Sabrina Giacomini and Daniella Barile added 17 and 15 assists, respectively, while Libero Mallory Lynch finished with a team-high 18 digs.

Siena Heights was led by Janel Ruhlman with a match-high 16 kills, while Carrigan Gray added 28 assists.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against Indiana Tech at 7 pm Friday in Fort Wayne, Ind.
