UM-Dearborn falls in three sets to Golden Eagles

DEARBORN, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn volleyball team fell in a midweek Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference matchup to Cornerstone University Wednesday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.

The Golden Eagles swept the Wolverines in three sets 25-18, 25-15, 25-18. The loss drops UM-Dearborn to 3-23 overall and 2-15 in the WHAC.

The Wolverines were led by Gina Giacomini with six kills, while Regan Sliwinski added five. Sabrina Giacomini and Daniella Barile added 11 and nine assists, respectively, while Libero Mallory Lynch finished with a team-high 17 digs.

Cornerstone was led by Jackie Stanko with a match-high nine kills, while Kayla Clark finished with 28 assists.

UM-Dearborn returns to action against Concordia University on Most Valuable Professor Night at 7 pm Friday at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse.
