Miller Nets Career-High Against UNOH

LIMA, Ohio – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (6-18, 3-13) women's basketball team fell victim to a second-half collapse against the University of Northwestern Ohio (12-11, 7-9) on Saturday (Feb. 4). The Wolverines lost the matchup 86-65 despite freshman center Lily Miller going for a career-high 20 points at The Garage in Lima, Ohio. 

 

UM-Dearborn Leaders

Miller connected on 10 of her 14 shots and hauled in four rebounds in 25 minutes of work. Siena Smith dialed up 17 points of her own, shooting 7-12 from the field and 2-3 from behind the arc. Smith led the Maize & Blue with eight rebounds. 

 

UNOH Leaders

Jada Haines led the Racers with a game-high 28 points connecting on five of her 11 three-pointers. Haines rounded out her final line with six rebounds and four assists. Ana Montero Sanz netted 21 points on 7-14 shooting and dished out seven assists and six rebounds. Alysia Lawson was the only other Racer in double-digits with 18 points and seven rebounds. Kalea Kruser had a game-high 11 rebounds for the Racers.

 

Inside the Game

UNOH outscored the Wolverines 44-28 in the second half to seal the victory after Dearborn trailed by just five points at the break. Dearborn shot 41.0% from the floor, but a lackluster performance behind the arc led to the Wolverines' demise.

The Wolverines host Aquinas on Wednesday (Feb. 8) at the UM-Dearborn Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 5:30.
