Dearborn Drops Road Contest at Spring Arbor

Spring Arbor, Mich. – The University of Michigan-Dearborn (2-12) played a non-conference matchup against Spring Arbor (8-4) on Saturday (Dec. 17). The Cougars took the contest 88-61. 

 

UM-Dearborn Leaders

Siena Smith led the Wolverines with 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting from the field. India Grissom chipped in 13 points shooting 4-of-14 from the field. Matalina Ochoa rounded out the Wolverines in double figures with 10 points. Dearborn ripped down eight offensive rebounds in the contest. 

 

Spring Arbor Leaders

Alana Nelson led the Cougars with 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting. The Cougars shot 51.5% from the field (35-68) and outrebounded the Wolverines 45-31 in the contest. Emma Smieska missed one field goal attempt and finished 7-of-8 from the field to tally 17 points and seven rebounds. Grace Shoobridge recorded a double-double scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Alex Long rounded out the scoring for the Cougars scoring 11 points on the afternoon. 

 

Up Next

The Wolverines will travel down the road to play Wayne State (Mich.) on December 30th to play an exhibition contest against the Warriors.
