Wolverines Lose to No.5 Bulldogs 4-2

DEARBORN, Mich. -- The University of Michigan- Dearborn women's ice hockey team took on the Adrian Bulldogs in the second game of their two-game matchup at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena. The Wolverines looked to split the two-game series after losing their first game against the Bulldogs.

 

The Bulldogs struck quickly, scoring the first goal 53 seconds into the game. A resilient Wolverines came back to tie the game when Taylor Spence put one in the back of the net two minutes later. With continued pressure, the Wolverines pulled ahead after Samantha Sensoli put the team up 2-1. The Bulldogs were able to come back, scoring two before the end of the period, ending with the Wolverines down 3-2.

 

The Wolverines fought hard the rest of the game but could not find the back of the net again, while Adrian scored once in the second period to make the game 4-2. 

 

With no scoring in the third period, the Bulldogs were able to pull off the win, taking the second game of the series. 

 

The Wolverines take on Miami of Ohio Redhawks Friday night (Feb. 10) to celebrate their senior night. The puck drops at 7 pm, with senior night celebrations at 6:30.
