DEARBORN, Mich.— The University of Michigan-Dearborn Women's Ice Hockey team returned to action with a CCWHA weekend-series against the Aquinas College Saints this past weekend.

Friday night's game saw the Wolverines claw back from an early three-goal deficit on their way to a thrilling 4-3 win over the Saints. Kaylee Keledjian would get UM-Dearborn on the board midway through the second period with an unassisted effort. Madison Schroeder would edge the Wolverines closer as she found the back of the net from an Andi Evers pass. UM-Dearborn would tie the game five minutes into the third as Charlise Wharram connected with Schroeder and Evers. Evers would notch her third point of the game, putting the Wolverines up one and they would never look back, holding on for the victory.

Victoria Hahn would get the start in goal for UM-Dearborn, making seven saves. Tara Peladeau would play the final 35 minutes of the game, making 13 saves in relief.

Saturday night's game was a different story as the Wolverines were the ones who jumped out to a three-goal lead. UM-Dearborn would add three more in the second and another in the third, on its way to a 7-0 win and weekend-series sweep of Aquinas College.

Vivian Kowlaske would get the scoring started midway through the first period with Lexi Garbacik and Zoe Zaifman getting the helpers. Evers and Wharram would extend the Wolverines lead. Zaifman would find the back of the net with an unassisted effort early in the second period, while Schroeder would add another shorthanded. Keledjian joined in the scoring late in the second, putting in a rebound off of a Paige Finlay shot from the point. Evers would close the game out with a power-play goal a minute into the third, sealing a dominant win for UM-Dearborn.

Samantha Sensoli, Taylor Spence, Wharram and Schroeder would all record an assist on the night.

Peladeau got the start and shut out the Saints, stopping all 20 shots that came her way.

The Wolverines return to action Saturday, November 5th, against the Michigan State Spartans at 7pm at the UM-Dearborn Ice Arena.
