FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The University of Michigan-Dearborn Women's Ice Hockey team returned to action Saturday afternoon, traveling to Fort Wayne to close out a weekend-series with the Indiana Tech Warriors.

The Wolverines looked to bounce back from the night before and salvage a series-split with the Warriors. However, Indiana Tech would rely on two goals in the second and third period, handing UM-Dearborn the 4-0 defeat.

After a scoreless first period, Indiana Tech's Megan Yakiwchuk would open up the scoring just 32 seconds into the second period. The Warriors would connect on a penalty shot with five minutes remaining in the middle frame, taking a two-goal lead into the intermission. Allison Greene would extend the lead for Indiana Tech, while Yakiwchuk would ice the game with her second goal of the night.

The loss moves the Wolverines to 9-7-1 overall and 4-5-1 in the CCWHA.

Victoria Hahn got the start in goal for UM-Dearborn, making 34 saves.

The Wolverines have the upcoming weekend off, but will return to action against Adrian College at 7:30 PM, Thursday, January 19th at the Arrington Ice Arena in Adrian, Mich.
