FULL GAME NOTES

DEARBORN, Mich. - After splitting two home games last week, the University of Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball team hits the road for its final two road games of the season with trips to Cornerstone University and Madonna University on deck.

Team Update

The Wolverines broke through to snap a four-game skid, as UM-Dearborn scored a season-high in points, topping Marygrove College 86-72 Saturday at the Fieldhouse. Despite 13 made 3-pointers from the Mustangs, the Wolverines were able to pull away late thanks to four players scoring in double figures and two more adding nine each off the bench. Kendall Rose (SO/Canton, MI) led the Wolverines with 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Megan Swick (JR/Grosse Ile, Mich.) did all of her damage from deep, hitting five 3-pointers, including three in the opening minutes of the game to finish with 15 points. Natalie Spala (SO/Livonia, MI) added 14 points, while Jeorgia Jones (FR/Detroit, MI) chipped in with 11 despite early foul trouble. The Wolverines also dropped a game at home last week to Lawrence Technological University 62-50. The win total this season is the most for UM-Dearborn since the 2012-13 season.

Who's Hot

Kendall Rose broke out of a slump to score 17 points against Marygrove after not hitting double digits during the recent four-game slide for the Wolverines. Rose is second on the team with 8.8 points per game and has a team-high 64 assists. She is also tied for second on the team with five rebounds per game and is one of two UM-Dearborn players to start in all 26 games this season.

History

The Wolverines are looking for their first road win in WHAC play this season. UM-Dearborn dropped home contests to Cornerstone and Madonna earlier in 2016-17.
