DEARBORN, Mich. – Kayden Pickles and Brendan West were named Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Players of the Week. The league announced on Monday (Nov. 7). Pickles was named Defensive Player of the Week, while West earned his second Offensive Player of the Week honor. 

 

Pickles, a junior netminder from Medicine Hat, AB, Can., stopped 34 shots and dished out two assists in a shutout victory over Rochester on Saturday (Nov. 5). Pickles improved to 3-2-0 and has stopped 180 shots in five starts.

 

West collected his second Offensive Player of the Week award after compiling four goals and nine assists in two games over the weekend. West now bolsters a whopping 29 points in just 13 games and has a league-high 19 assists.

 

The Wolverine duo will be back in action on Friday (Nov. 11) as they welcome No. 15 Indiana Tech to the Fieldhouse for a powerhouse matchup.
